Celluar Technology

Over the years celluar technology been in market and pretty cheap and useful to stay in communication, almost all of us are aware of this technology and usage, advantages and disadvantages both. SIM(s) are being issued without registration, knowing country is already facing too many problem, issues concerning terrorisum. PTA ( Pakistan Telecommunication Authority ) has authorised all the networks. but still I don’t get, what exactly are they upto, if there is a monitoring authority than my questions is :-

* . When New Sim is inserted into Celluar Phone, why doesn’t it Prompt for CNIC or PASSPORT number?
” It would be easy to noticed who is the authorised user information as per PTA’s issued form “

Even Today it is like, go in any market ( any city,town,village anywhere ), buy any SIM(s) of any network just insert the sim, luckly you even get Free Minutes and Free Sms. Call anyone you want threat, cheat, use it for criminal or terrorist activity and simply keep it, with your self for further usage in months to come ( NO NEED TO THROUGH IT AWAY). Without getting it registered, you might recieve Few SMS from network to get it registered but NO PERIOR TIME SPECIFIED ( Time Limit ), Why do they allow at first place to be used unauthorised? It is very clearly understandable that Network companies are giving offers of free minutes and other value added services,for their promotional marketing reasons but thus it does not mean that any new SIM can function as onewhich is already registered one, or to disturb anyone, anytime.even unregistered SIM user can call customer service and ask any detail, Service he/she wants to avail, they will be given assistance.

Is it PTA’s policy or they cannot fix this term of prompt for CNIC / PASSPORT number before unlocking the sim. If you visit, Customer Service and get the Sim from them, you need to give 2 references, Names , CNIC/PASSPORT numbers and Active Numbers of each reference same Network. You will asked to fill up the form, attach CNIC/PASSPORT copy, Than SIM will be issued, When Networks have their Franchies and Customer Service Center, why New Numbers are being sold in a markets almost everywhere?

Lack of PTA’s Performance and monitoring that every now and then, one of us get disturbed by some unknown number, specially sending SMS ( TEXT ) since it’s the cheapest way to disturb anyone, when you call customer service and complain about regarding unknown caller ( number ) disturbing you or issue which you are facing, they will indirectly say ” SORRY WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT” Thank you for calling, take care of yourself, Allah Hafiz… isn’t it great.

One of leading Company Ufone has introduced Blocking system of unwanted numbers but it charge for it instead of giving it VAS ( Value Added Service ) freely. When every network has to follow PTA’s rules and regulation than, who is letting unauthorized SIMs get issued in market ( PAKISTAN TELECOMMUNICATION AUTHORITY ) How Great !

Following to this same issue, they still are not able to upgrade, issue notification to block all unregistered numbers and if anyone threats , disturbs or even bother to take legal action against that number holder. Pakistan is doing best to protect its nation, by allowing misusage of unauthorised communication channel open for anyone, it could be anyone local or outsider to come and get a sim and start communicating without any hesitation. It is a fact that to write as such idea to regarding authority is waste of time here, seems like to me atleast they aren’t doing there job but shows how corruption has flowing in the veins of this department, apart from other departments which are being made to serve people and people pay the price too,If PTA wants, I am sure, it is possible to be stopped with in a day.

But Here the rules are, you are using this technology, protect, serve and save yourself, PTA is not responsible of misuage just making good policies about taxation revenue ( GST Government Sales Tax , FED , Fedral Excise Duty ). Is There anyone who hasn’t been disturbed by unknown number ( calling and Texting ) There is no proper channel to complain all thou anyone who is using Celluar Technology is paying 21 Percent Tax. Imagine, Only PTA take The Legal right action against unauthorised usage and proper registeration, it would be the first step to stop crime and criminal activities or even terrorist activities. But I don’t no when this day will come, to do the right thing, to avail the serive , following the procedure and giving communication module in safe hands.

This is Just 1 Minor Mistake which should can be corrected by Authority with in a day.
When will Our Nation is going to realise that This Celluar Tecnology Is a backbone of any criminal and terrorist activity. as I am publishing it here, I have forwarded this to PTA’s Officials too, if it the advise which seems to work, than I think first thing in the morning they should do, resign and leave the vancancies for deserving one who can handle and provide proper facilities to the Users ( through any network ) instead of being victim of it.
