Special Edition of this same model, was 1.5 Litre engine, 5 speed manual and available in automatic, but my personal experience with this car I call it ” Dragon Fly” . I had 1.5 Litre SE limited, It’s a very stable and grip is awesome as well as luxury saloon. sedan.
Later In 1989, Toyota changed the shape and specification as well, and they launched CS EE90, it was again a great success and they added FWD in this one as like previous one also with diesel engine, this time 1.3 , 1.5 , 1.6 litre petrol and 2.0 diesel. ( 5 speed transmission manual and automatic ) complete powered, windows , trunk , side mirrors , streeing wheel, central locking. I even had great time with this model as well, but my views differ with those who like this model, they don’t like the previous one. It’s quite decent car, fully loaded even SE limited edition also available in this one. Toyota was really progressing and making models which are still favorite of millions all thou it is sedan but It can cruise above 120 miles per hour. specially this model was not fuel economical, The reason I did not like this because it is not my type ( shape ). so it’s a sedan a family car. now not even reconditions are available in market, till 2002 this shape was coming, the best thing about Toyota is, parts are easily available, and it’s rough and tough. don’t go on the appearance, performance is way too that you might to re-think. moving ahead in 1993 The Corolla is offered as a 4 door sedan with a 1.8-liter/120-horsepower inline-four with a manual transmission. 3 and 4-speed automatic are available as is ABS( An anti-lock braking system ) This time, they went further ahead and came up with 1.8 litre and changed the braking system replacing disc and drum ( rear ) This Model came in Pakistan when they started manufacturing In Pakistan 1995
( Toyota Indus Motors ) one of the best-selling model and it also turn out to be the Racing one, Vs Honda Civic 95 ( Dolphin Model ), This model was release late in Pakistan but became the signature, still this vehicle, thou not new but worth more than brand new back in 1997, Toyota kept experimenting with this vehicle, like ABS which were previous used by sports model Celica, Air Bag driver seat, for the safety 1.6 litre Limited was the finest one available in market, but back in those days diesel was way cheaper than today so 2.0D model made a record, very powerful and decent drive, quite a few changes in suspension and cabin became safest. maximum speed 220 kmph, Later in 1997 change of front lights crystal lights and back lights , garnish. Still those who talk about this car as they had great experience with it and no doubt It worth it. But we are living in ever changing world, in 1999 Toyota Corolla again changed but this time it wasn’t just the appearance but total recall, previous model of Lexus ES-300 was introduced again as Toyota Corolla 2000, 1.3 litre, 5 speed Manual and Automatic Transmission known as XLi , 1.5 litre , AT / MT Transmission,
fully powered known as GLi , 2.0D Diesel 5 Speed MT / AT Transmission known as 2.oD and new entry was 1.8 Litre , 5 speed AT / MT. Limited Edition Saloon, known as Altis. Toyota did modify lots of things before getting it on the road as Corolla instead ES-300 Lexus, This Model came with different interior, My experience with this car been good but what i noticed in this model that Toyota instead of using Timing Belt for the engine they used old technology Timing Chain much more reliable, after this model all the Corolla’s have chain instead of belt. handling was not even close to previous models and breaks weren’t good specially if you are driving above 110kmph / 70 miles per hour, suspension , interior , engine rest everything was fine but the drive wasn’t comfortable, as they made the body for no reason huge, which is 40 percent empty if you remove fenders, bumpers, but then again break thru record sell in Pakistan and other countries. having several mistakes in vehicle than again Toyota lovers preferred to have it and this model in the history of Corolla had more accidents than any other before. I guess Toyota company learnt its lesson so they took nearly 7 years come up with something different. this model was faster so people modified it for racing purpose a lot, but it’s insanity to go 180 kilometers per hour on this, because Brake horse power is not sufficient to stable the car with in seconds, it will skid till it doesn’t hit anything. from 2000 till 2007 again same ( changing the front Grill , lights front and rear ) and there you go. ( Company’s Policy ). After a long time Corolla finally released its new model in 2007 September, here in
Pakistan ( Toyota Corolla Cruise Tronic ), from normal line up XLi , GLi, now came with VVT-i, or Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, is an automobile variable valve timingtechnology developed by Toyota previously introduced in BMW and Audi. This time Cruise Tornic which launched in August 2008 only in 1.8 Litre, Altis, This car way to stable than previous one, as well as interior decent and sober, Toyota came up with 1.3 litre , 1.6 litre GLi , 1.8 ALTIS ( Cruise Tronic ) it’s a feature, in which can lock the speed on which you want to cruise and it will maintain, never the less ( Toyota Indus Motors ) first time came up with rain sensor, and well mannered Interior, just after 3 years they made some changes in this model and launched as Corolla 2011 , new features which were added one of them was Eco drive since Manual Transmission now have 6 speed forward the interior, entirely new meter panel, which collects and calculate the data measuring distance, speed limit, and gives you destination time, beside it, it also tells you when the car is in eco mode and speedy mode. finally after 1986 I liked the changes and company coming up with final product, after 25 years, in other countries they launched different models but now world wide Toyota Corolla is same and the demand of this vehicle is more than any
other vehicle in Pakistan because of its good re-sell value. Eco Drive gives an average of ( 13.5 – 15.5 KM ) Well it depends on the quality of fuel and your driving style. Engine power is a function of the fuel, as well as the engine design, and is related to octane rating of the fuel. Power is limited by the maximum amount of fuel-air mixture that can be forced into the combustion chamber. Toyota Corolla 2011, finally out and on the road with Dual VVT-i. with new shape and this one is pretty much better than previous one, ALTIS is the only model in which 6-speed Manual Gearbox for Eco Drive. believe or not it really gives good average on petrol, slight changes made the car entirely different,No doubt this car is fuel efficient, if you haven’t driven, I suggest you to take a test drive and know how the performance along with features makes you feel while being inside. Toyota keeping it’s Trade Mark and Corolla all the standards. I am not fan of Toyota but over the years my experience with Toyota’s different vehicles they are durable, stable and handling is driver friendly, no matter you drive Eco mode or Speedy you will get the feel of its class. can’t say for sure what’s going to be in future but I am sure that it will be friendly and safety comes first, here’s a view of the meter Panel.
Follow the rules, they are for your safety, enjoy the thrill but only till you can control, your cars spare parts are available but not of your body. My remarks : Corolla is one the safest car in Pakistan, don’t go for 2000-2007 model it faulty in many ways rest all is good. ENJOY !

Let me clear it up, In past 25 years, Corolla has changed almost completely, where as it was known for it’s suspension and engine, now for safety and comfort
in between 2 models which are odd out of all. Toyota had bad experience in Auto transmission vehicles which were sold in USA they had to take 58,000 units back
while same fault was in Asian region countries as well, but nothing happened here in fact those 58,000 were converted to right hand and sold here in middle east
africa and asia as re-condition models, Finally after 86 model 2011 makes a perfect sense of what company offering and how to keep QC Checked mark. before
this people liked loved toyota but only few knew negatives about the specific models. like 2000-2007 , AT Brakes issue, suspension issue and it was not comfortable
as previous model but now they made for both purpose CLASS B seden. here in pakistan keeping in mind world standards.

Hey Faree I have the Toyota 1986, and its in the faimly for Ages, So i dont wana Sell it, But the Problem Lies with the Spare Parts, Its too much Expencive, and untrustable, Can i use any New Brands Spare Parts in my Toyota86?
I mean is it posible, bcoz i have invest in its tyres, and every time its grip get losen, and then i have to go back to mechanic, Also the shockabsorbers,they are also a Headche,, Can i Use any new brands Spare Parts?
all the parts are available of 80s n 90s model here Brand New from Japan if something missing such as engine parts Pistons shaft etc.. Quetta and Peshawar is the hub for all the parts, if you need parts let me know ill ask and find out for you than you can do and deal with them, i kept 86 for 2 years 1500cc limited edition and till dated i haven’t driven a monster grip pickup, specially the brake horsepower disc from were amazing. i still give 1st title to 86 toyota, new parts are different in various ways, shocks ring size differ now they are wider and tension is more, since the engine technology is different new models dont match with old but as far i know Belta has the same suspension as 86 AE shape. since corolla adopted Lexus shape in 2001 – Lexus ES300 – 97 / 99 . so the corolla you see now are actually lexus ES-300 2001 model.
