This is to confirm all of you that Qmobile Noir A2 is 1 Ghz with 256 Internal Storage / 512 ROM , slight changes has enabled this Android phone to do Skype Video calls, as a Previous version of this phone was able to do Voice Calls on Skype and Video Calls on Yahoo Messenger but this one has Built in Skype by Qmobile so it works , I didn’t checked the skype but I tasted the Noir A2 1Ghz , it is faster and has more storage than Previous A2 or Noir A5 . yet I cannot confirm you that GPS has been added or not but as I spoke to Qmobile persons they said you can download it and use it, It has GPS which I will update in this post tomorrow.
For those who have just bought this Noir A2 ,650Mhz , which actually is 712Mhz , Guys you can go and exchange the set even there is app to increase CPU speed but it wouldn’t sufficient enough for Skype Video Calls, If newly bought this Noir A2 , sell or exchange it, it shouldn’t cost you more than 1000 to 1500 to get a new one, Market price today was 8,800/- Noir A2 1Ghz , Finally it is confirmed that they have increased processor speed and internal storage and ROM.
Check back later for update about A2 Noir and other Android apps , Phones .

A5 will remain same upcoming model is A8 hopefully by next month read A2 uodate post I have mentioned in it.

Everything is same some minor changes, doesn’t have GPS in A2 all android phones consume lot of battery so there are apps and manually change when not in use.

Its default like this system consumes ram and memory too how do u think operating system working
Wow Im really impressed with qmobile ! Same price with a 1ghz processor ! Farhan bhai can you confirm personally that skype video call works ? because skype requires ARMv7 cpu and if qmobile has upgraded it to armv7 then Flash will also work in browser :D. Also is there any shop where I can get a hands-on demo of the phone before buying because in the market its only available box packed.
It works with skype video and yes it has ARMv7 flash supportive, but the issue is internal memory storage which is 92mb only not sufficient at all, total waste if your a bit medium gamer and heavy net User.
Only 92Mb ? 😦 thats is just way too low for usage. Did the previous A2 have more than 92Mb?
Previous A2 had 198MB usable internal memory, only people are crazy about Skype they are going for this one else, Internal memory issue wouldn’t let them download apps and use them as previous A2 or A5.

I am afraid Farees you have a misinfi. Recently got upgraded A2 & after many application running …it shows 120mb used + 52mb free so we have ~172mb internal + 1GHz. Don’t know how will I get CPU info….tried many apps & the factory setting method you said didn’t work??
When you get A2 is shows ur 92 MB FREE if u update apps which are built in than it reduce internal storage , by press POWER + VOLUME up key at start up u get in factory test setup , which you say u are unable too, this is where you get core information of the phone and can test all what it has. try again turn it of and when u turn it on KEEP power + VOLUME up key pressed.
I am qmobile representative but daily I reply more than they do, bro as far I can tell you goto sadar qmobile outlet they will give u there to chk.
okay so i want an iphone 4s. its way out of my range. actually i want to talk to my fiance and laptops are a bit impersonal. can u say for certain that a2 is skype enabled and video calls can be made?
Yes Videos call and voice calls can be made easily, Video call works on GPRS ( Mobile Network too ) as well as via Wifi , there is no issue related to Skype , Fring , Tango , Yahoo , Oovoo .
And If you get a chance please review this new A2 on youtube showing Skype and stuff. Some people only believe what they see so it would be great to show some features and hardware information if possible.

Processor type ARMv7 but it not 1ghz its 1.8ghz qmobile has wrongfully given because most of the things they dont even know about their android phones they just import pack them and sale they customer service Allah hi Hafiz hai, I asked them personally out many other A2 features but none were they been able to answer only skype video bas.. bro 92mb is low but it is fine for internet user not for gamer. Phone dont have gps like A5.

Yes aap2sd moves but not 100% which I even mentioned in my review but so far so good still android OS has long way to go before it becomes one of the best OS.

A2 is a very good device if one can manage its low RAM and internal memory problem. I have installed more than 35 apps on SD card but every time when I directly install any app to SD card, it also takes some internal memory space on A2. Still I got 40 MB internal memory free (out of 172 MB) and 45 MB RAM free (out of 235 MB) in idle state.

1. Noir A2 new or old , both were Java enabled , able to play online live stream .
2. 92MB is less for installing apps, if u are not installing apps even thou you move them to SD which are movable they are still left 25% somewhat in the internal memory. as a heavy internet user you can use the phone for almost every type of usage but wouldn’t able to download apps ofcourse you will need certain apps like Android assistant , KeepSafe , MX player with codec ARMv7 for New A2 , updating Facebook and Twitter etc.. than memory remains less than 40 to 45 MB which is very less, rest if you don’t update apps like FB and Twitter if they working fine than there is no need too you can use the phone , heavy user means who installs many apps not as browsing

It’s an app like any other, which controls which app to kill at the back end, at the start up, after how long clear cache , refresh RAM , it also has quick boost spare you RAM ROM both , move to SD card feature and other features which makes your phone timing proper and doesn’t let it get restarted since I have installed It hasn’t restarted nor troubled me in any sort of exceptional error. that’s why I recommended Android Assistant ( Keep this aap in internal memory it works better ) thou it can be moved.

i brought a2 they mention 1ghz processer with 512 rom and 256 ram…i check it through app “android system info” its 235 ram and it did nt tell about the processer just tell its arm v7 how do i check its porocesser frequancy etc..
Turn off your phone completely, than press power + volume botton it will start in factory test mode
there you can see the actual configuration of the phone and test the device, it’s safe wont damage anything.

Noir A5 and A2 both enters in same manners It might be little tricky power + volume up button try it works
aoa. after shutdown press power and both volume buttons to run phon in “factory and recovery ” mode. it is confirmed for noir a2. as for as rooting concern its still not done. processor faimly unknown. any one did successful rooting kindly contact me at 03227714492 or leathelhit@gmail.com.
It is for most of the android phones power + volume key up > into factory setting , recovery is only when phone is ROOTED . Yet there is no method for rooting if anyone will hopefully will contact you on given contacts

I haven’t used Galaxy why but the processor is 800Mhz screen size is smaller, A2 lacks from internal memory which is low and does not have GPS. Galaxy Y cannot be even compared with Noir A1. which is newer phone by Qmobile.

Audio Skype will work on it , download MX player which u will need and also plug in IF : ARMv7 getting installed means ur processor is above 1Ghz if ARMv6 than ur processor is 712Mhz. cause ARMv7 will prompt a msg incomparable .

Assalamalaikum. Bro, I’m thinking of buying this phone and have a couple of questions I hope you can answer:
1. You’re saying that the newest A2 on the market has 1 GHz processor right? Because on the box it said 650 MHz. Or is it that only certain models have 1 GHz and some have 650 MHz?
2. The box said that the phone has only 256 MB RAM, which isn’t that much. Do you feel that it runs ok, or is it slow?
3. Does Skype support video calling using the front camera, i.e. can the person we’re talking to see us?
4. Is there any app which lets you download apps COMPLETELY on to the micro USB instead of internal memory? 92 MB is way too small, it’ll fill up too quickly if I start downloading games etc.
5. Will Whatsapp work on this phone?
6. Finally, if I’m prepared to pay a bit extra (around Rs. 15,000), can you recommend any other good Android phone which also has a good camera?

1 answer go for samsung S1 t-mobile set with 16gb internal it max available for 17500 . This qmobile is not for heavy user just who is using skype for call

how can you say that this phone is better than Htc explorer……..I have an explorer and playing HD games is a much better and smoother experience than on my friend’s A2 ( 1 gig variant)…….whereas on A2 most of the games won’t even start or if some do it’s much laggy.
Tried Battlefield bad company 2 ( worked but lagged like sh*t )…….Modern combat 3 and 2 , Real racing 2, N.O.V.A 3 , dead space and NFS hot Pursuit ( all of these didn’t even start)……..but they work on my HTC Explorer without root…so I suggest that guys please don’t be fooled by 1ghz …….if you can spend 2000 to 3000 Rs more I prefer you should go for explorer.

did you checked the phone when you were buying? why isn’t it playing youtube ? if your phone is NEW than take it back and get it exchange because youtube works smooth and for this you dont require anything additional

It means Google Map can’t be used in A2.

A1 , A3 are TOYS dont waste your money, Company always give their best when they launch something later they recover the loss and throw garbage in the market, Only 2 Good Sets by Qmobile Noir A2 and A5 . rest speed or GOLD in them NEVER GO FOR A1 or A3.

Graphics Screen Resolution is way better than A2.

Both works perfectly on Noir A2 and A5 No Issue.
Viber doesnt work on A2, outgoing voice is distorted and poor.

A1 also has 92mb internal memory, kindly do not update all apps pre installed use them as they are and if sd memory error check can u play songs or anything from sd card if yes than phone has isuue if no than sd card is not accessible

I am using EVO 3G and it is working on the PC and on phone it is working, if you can access play store via pc than it shouldn’t have any issue try to check first from PC and Gmail if both working follow the method because myself and many users had this issue thats why I posted the procedure .

skype only supports ARMv7 and above for video, I know there are many versions of skype n I have tried too but I came to know its skype issue not android phones previous A2 is ARMv6 skype doesn’t supports video call. But fring and yahoo does.
I bought this phone just two days back, skype video call was working but after i deleted other skypes are not working. You mean i cant do videocall ever again from this A2?

It will not support Sygic or any Navigation won’t work because Sensors are blocked inside, A2 cannot even detect via mobile network.

Skype Video has nothing to do with factory setting nor Factory test setting ( power + volume ) .
Which version of skype are you using and which set is it ? A2 650Mhz or 1Ghz if 1 Ghz than check skype updates,
its skype app issue and if u have 650Mhz than skype video will not work at all.

there is no way you can move pre installed apps and if update them this happens , first u shouldnt update because there is no point to update all. next thing is ROOTING is the only method but no successful way for A2 or A5 . I think u better uninstall updates to clear up space

Dear directly you cannot install because each app which is in even moved to SD memory has something to share with internal, there is a way to install manually , like downloading APK file and installing it than moving it but it cannot be like only in SD directly and works .

On A2 I didn’t watched movies online but yes On Youtube full length movie was running fine,
movies can be downloaded by using torrent, and MX player with codecs supports multiple formats, Live wallpapers are animated.
I am not sure which Version is in A2 because i don’t have it but i think 1.8.4 sensors magnet yes , motion yes , land level yes.

i have a noir a1. On eid day i left my phone on charge for 20 min and found that my screen was not responding to the touch. i tried to connect it with QMOBILE ANDROID PC SYNC TOOL but an error shows up on the phone screen that says “process android.process.acore stopped unexpectedly”. i have tried the factory restore method but i cant find a way beyond the list of tests since the touch is not responding. what should i do??

Have bought recently Noir A-2 but not quite satisfied with it due to limitation of internal memory instead I have installed a 32Gb MSD card.
Now Qmobile have recently launch Noir A-8 its has 1ghz duel core processor but there specification is lacking information about the internal memory. Does anyone have any idea bout it? Do I replace my A-2 with A-8?
A2 is limited phone for very limited user , A8 is not available it has 1 GB for Apps 1.9 Phone Internal 1 GB consumed by pre-installed softwares and dont know what but you have 3 GB to use, This phone competes with S II easily , even on Bench Mark test , I am using it with 16 GB SD which gives me 18.5 GB overall space including phone ( usable ) , It came in market 14,500 now its 16 this is where I am not suggesting anyone Phone worth but Company doesn’t , yesterday they launched A5 which is 11500 processor same as A2 specification same as A8 read the updated post Qmobile launched A6 you will know more. good thing is , its in very reasonable price and I am personally suggesting rather than buying A8 for 16 plus . rest is your decision .

dear i purchased noir a2 in white colour…….from an application i came to know that cpu is ARMv7……….and skype is also running……..but frequency is did not show. please tell me that is my phone is new version of a2 or old version of it…………..
if the video calling Skype working it is ARMv7 , you can download Android Assistant and see System info

2. 3 AV Jacks on one end and Stereo jack on the other ( 3 jacks like ) DVD YELLOW , RED , WHITE and other side like headphones. connect Yellow in TV plug in 3.5mm phone Settings > Display > TV output Check mark, it will appear on TV

Dear there is no way to Extend more than Apps2Sd can Movable files, for you I would suggest to clear cache app
if not able to download anything uninstall any app or update than use clear cache app
My noir a2 is giving problem with the WiFi 😦 it just works for 2 min and then i have to reconnect it again..

70 MB are reserved used , not a cheating but even in SIII you will find the same not the exact figure 70 less.

1. The Wifi signals are not strong as on HTC and also it remains white most of the time.
2. I can not download any of the apps.

Battery Timning isn’t good as compared to later models launched by Q hardly you get 4 hours GPRS display on timing .
